I am trying to reconcile a list of all of the 2007 FRC Teams sponsored by United Technologies and the UTC business units:

Carrier
Hamilton Sundstrand
Otis
Pratt & Whitney
Sikorsky
United Technologies Research Center
UTC Fire & Security
UTC Power

If you are an FRC team that is currently sponsored by UTC or a UTC business unit, please email or PM me (don't forget to include your team number).

thank you

The winning alliance at this year’s GTR makes Aces High the only UTC sponsored team to win an international FIRST competition.

Aren't all FIRST events "International?"

Ben you are right I just posted what I got in an email. Maybe it should say first UTC to win out of the USA. Then I don't know if that is right maybe I should just delete thread?

Mike,

Would also like to see a list of UTC "supported" teams. Like Rosie.

Would that be helpful?

Where do you draw the line between sponsored and supported? Are we talking funds vs manpower?

My definition is Buzz and Aces High get a budget of $xx,000. They would be UTC sponsored.

I/Rosie get to write a grant under their educational outreach program within UTC and compete against other grant writers for a grant of $1000 max.

I am guessing that 195 falls into the same catagory of UTC supported.

Actually, 1511 is also "touched by UTC". This year we got a small sponsorship from Lenel Security Systems (A UTC Company) here in Rochester. We are planning to target them for some increased sponsorship next year, especially in light of UTC's current level of FIRST sponsorship.

Hi Mike,

Just responding to make sure you have Buzz on your list. I would also add that any financial support from a UTC company should count, irrespective of the funding level.
