This is the first time my team is doing the inventor award and I'm the only person on the team that is working on it.

I wanted to compare my progress with other people who are doing the award.

How far are you?

I am about 70 % finished. I have to make a few more parts and then do pneumatics and wiring. And rendering.

well we do ours before we build the bot. But we havent put in wires or bolts yet. WE have holes, just no screws or bolts...

To the best of my knowledge, our inventor guy wants to shoot himself. So I'm guessing not far enough...

Almost done. I'll post some pics when we finish with a link to our site.

Good luck to all teams!

im almost done with all the electronics and pnuematics i just have to build the arm...which is just a tube with the suction cup at the end...and 2 ramps that are identical (so just 1 ramp)...by the way does anyone know where you can get the breaker panel and the power distibution block....that'd help me out a lot if you know where pleas send me the web address or an attachment to alexbaker182@hotmail.com i also have a question since my teams a rookie team i was wondering how to make the pnuematic tubing and electrical wires. THANKS EVERYONE AND GOOD LUCK... :D :D

I need those too. If someone can get them to me, please message them to me or email me @ rohitnk@gmail.com

For wiring, I am going to export my assembly to 3dsMax and do it there.. so it will be more realistic. I am going to do pneumatics on inventor but I dont know how yet

I made all my parts move like they are supposed to. (the arm moves, ramps fold & unfold, and the tank drives move) using constraints. Right now, I am attaching my frame and tanktreads to the ramp and the arm. So basically, I am putting the 4 major assemblies together. Then, I can start wiring and penumatics.

Most of our CADing is done. Just finishing touches remain.

we've done ours before building the robot too, we just have to finish the material for the website and make some nicely rendered animation

do we have to animate the robot? cause that would suck...and i don't know how and i'm the only CAD guy on the team

I'm just doing that to illustrate the devices of our robot in the website, the manual says you don't need that this year as in previous years

i guess im not the only one.

I don't think I'm ready to shoot myself quite yet, but i have lost all social life that I've ever had and sacraficed a trip to the bahamas if thats comparable. I'm currently making finishing touches on the website, so it looks like I'm ahead of schedule though.

I'm animating the robot just to show the people how the robot works. Because its extremely simple and for the longest time I didn't know.

I'm not to that point yet. Since no mentors on my team know Inventor either, I've spent most of my time doing online tutorials. So, I guess that for the next week, im going to have to work 24/7 on inventor.

Everyone on my team has been there.
