wiring in 3ds max?

If I make all my electrical components into 1 assembly and then export that assembly to 3ds max, can I do wiring on that and then import it back into inventor?

According to the rules...

Please note: Designs must be created entirely within Autodesk Inventor. Importing geometry from other CAD packages will significantly impact the team score.

I'd imagine, even though 3dsmax is not a CAD software, they will still take points off for not using inventor.
