How long does it take uploaded pictures to appear?

I have tried uploading pics several times today, with no apparent problems, and I keep getting forwarded to the mymedia page and under the photos section, it says: "No Results Found"

Pictures have to be approved. A mod will get to it soon.

I don't see any in the queue -- when you uploaded them did it give you a confirmation email (if only for a second or two, before forwarding to My Media page)? Nevermind -- I see them. Approvals could take up to 24 hours (but generally only take a few minutes).
