Hey!,
Do you guys think that you'd be interested in purchasing Robotics related clothing such as the shirt pictured below? Also, how much would you be willing to pay for a product like this one?
The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if it would be worth it to make some available to the pubic, and get a rough estimate of how many I would need to produce for starters.
Any comments are more than welcome.

I'd buy it - but preferably in black - im not a white-wearing person
I could see my self buying and wearing that sometimes.

I'd probably buy one if you had them at my regional. Another color other than white would be cooler though.

How would that be for a black one?
I don't know about the downfalls of light die on dark clothing, or if ordering shirts of different colors would up the cost a bit, as I haven't gotten to talk to a screen printer about all the options yet.
Would you rather have a white shirt, or a black shirt? I guess an orange shirt would work, too...
The reason I ask is because on an orange, black, or white shirt, it is a two-color image, which costs less to screen print, and therefore passes the savings back on to you. I really don't know, but a tri-colored shirt may raise the shirt cost to as much as 20$. (according to my graphics teacher)

hmmm black or orange ay? Hmmm..... I would wear either. Im not very picky. But I dont know about other people
ooo i would get one if you made it into a sweatshirt. (a dinghy white.)
hmm maybe a red or a brown tshirt. the whites tend to get ruined when working on robot :yikes:

Why not use cafepress.com. That way, people can order them in any size and color they carry, and you don't have to worry about keeping track of all that stuff.
You can't sell at regionals unless they changed the rules this year. It's in the manual somewhere (and I'm too tired to look it up). There have been similar threads like this on CD - I think you can take advance orders through PayPal or something and deliver at the regionals or mail them.
OK, that wasn't very GP of me. It's in section 3.12 and 3.14 - Do not sell any products. This includes food, hats, shirts, or any promotional products.

You can't sell at regionals ... It's in the manual somewhere ...Yup, it's in there - can't sell.
If two NEM's remember it, do you think they'll believe us without a direct quote?

YAY!, You can now get these shirts (and a few more) at
http://www.cafepress.com/iwantashirt#apparel (http://www.cafepress.com/iwantashirt)
A little bit pricier for the dark options, but not too bad.
Feel free to PM me with any customizations that you want...
Depending on a few things, these might switch vendors soon... Just letting y'all know.

Hm... interesting. I still have my "I like robots" t-shirt from 269 a couple of years back. I wear it at least once a week.

Ok, I looked at the prices for the different styles of shirt, and they were too exorbitant... so I removed all but the plain white, which now only costs $12...
P.S. I'll never be a shop-keeper
hm i like the middle one ;]
and if you were to make the shirt (not sure if you really intended to sell it or not) you should move the box down because it seems a little too close to the top of the shirt.

As Kathie says, teams cannot sell anything at the Regionals.
Lots of teams with great ideas and I've already told 3 teams so far this year (hoping to have team fundraiser with fantastic ideas) that they cannot sell at the Chesapeake. Same for every regional. Listed under "Site Information" for your event. Sorry.

I think this is a pretty good price.
No shirt for me! Overflowing T-shirt drawers...too many years involved with robotics teams. Not sure why I even bought a new team T-shirt this year! (Maybe because I'm the one ordering them?)
FYI about T-shirt graphics and expense-- When you print on bright or dark colors, the printer must print white underneath your design so that the fabric color does not show through the design. To do this, the printer must prepare a "mask" screen that is separate from your design screens. An additional color (white) must also be run. Extra work makes for extra expense.
So it's cheaper to print on white or light colors, but, as mentioned before, those colors show the dirt more. Also, if the fabric is thin, there is more of a problem with show-through.
