You're kind of a year late for the hint...

Although I would like to see a game involving projectiles return, as last years game was a truly amazing one.

I was about to say... that looks like a modded bot from last year's game...

Too bad it's all shaken up & will explode in his face when he opens it.
Maybe it would work better with Hawaiian Punch or lemonade.

whatever happened to the good old days when people would just use model train sets to deliver their beer to them from the frdige?

They got tired of tripping over the tracks, and it hurts to step on the rails when you overclock it :D

if you were really motivated you would run the track elivated on your wall at arm level to the couch, or even along the wall for that matter. And come on who cant make a remote with pre determined stops.

I showed this to one of my mentors one day during school and he thought it was hilarious. I thought it would be cool too especially with my addiction to those minute maid cans of lemonade.

Also to overcome fizzing of sodas, (and I assume beer as well), you should tap on the top of the can a few times near where you are going to open it. I do that regularly ever since I tested it after playing "Catch" with a coke can.

At robotics we tried this again with Sprites. We shook both cans up and before we opened them we had a "scientific" mentor tap on the cans. To make sure everything was "scientific" we made sure each can was shaken the same amount of times together. Anyways our experiment concluded that tapping does nothing to sprites. Afterward we tried it with a Coke and my hypothesis was proved incorrect.

Guess it won't work!

I just saw on CBS an ad for tonight's Letterman and the robotic beer launcher will be featured. Anyone who is interested should check it out!

That looks like a project that I would probably undertake... ;)

But here's a better challenge: design one which could use a normal, unmodified, multi-use (such as to store other non-beverage foodstuffs) refrigerator that it still able to be accessed by people without difficulty.

For bonus points, have a Vex robot deliver it from the refrigerator to you (so it won't be all shaken up) using a CMUcam and a green target light above your couch! :D
