Congratulations to one of the nicest young women in FIRST today - Jessica Boucher, 2007 Volunteer of the Year, UTC Connecticut Regional. Jessica puts so much effort and work into recruiting just the right people for our regional as our Volunteer Coordinator and makes everything run like clockwork during the event. Besides working on the UTC regional, Jess is a mentor for FRC 40, and also a Vol. Coordinator for the Championships in Atlanta, and a founding member of FRC 237. I thank her for always being there when I need to talk things through. She is one of FIRST's gems. Congrats, Jess!

WHOOO HOOOO JESS!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!

From media tent volunteer back in the day, to graduating HS, going to school for a non-techincal career path while so dedicated to FIRST (::gasp:: non-techincal you say?!??!!? AS IF!! LOL :p ) and then working for a company also so dedicated to all of the programs we love so very much... I, as well as many of your peers and current & former mentors salute you and this award proves it!!!!

And this proves another thing.
You don't need a degree in anything science or technology related to succeed in FIRST, just the passion for the progam, and the drive to improve upon it.

Congratulations Small Wonder*! :D

*Jess knows what I mean by that and it's a good thing.
Ask her for the story of her first semster in college and how she earned that nickname.
It's a good one. LOL

Congrats Jess, that's totally awesome!!

Man, you guys are racking up the mentor-type awards this year...great job. I know I only got to work with you for a little bit, but one of the first things I noticed was how completely dedicated you were to FIRST, especially for a non-engineer, how cool!

Anways, good luck to you guys tomorrow, I'm down here rooting for ya!

To one of the best and most dedicated FIRST volunteers.
One year she drove 400+ miles just to help at a local FLL event in NYC.

Congratulations Jessica!

She makes great cookies, too.

(*off topic* By the way, they are the same virtual cookies I'm giving away for voting for red in the YMTC thread. Jess' cookies >>>>>>>>> Dave's virtual Krispy Kremes. Vote for red! :))

Congrats, Jess!

Congratulations Jess!! For just about as long as I have known her Jess has been involved in some way with making sure the UTC Connecticut Regional is one of the country's premiere FIRST events. Also I have to post because I know in her modesty it will drive her crazy to see just one more post in this thread. In all seriousness though I can think of few other people involved with FIRST who work as tirelessly with as much energy as Jess.

-Justin

P.S. Can't deny the power of the "crack cookies."

P.P.S Also Jess you're not allowed to stop, ever :-P
