If anyone coming to the Lonestar regional has a BB 256:1 tranny that they're no longer using, 57 would like to trade for it or otherwise acquire it.
57 has been repairing and strengthening our Banebots transmissions, and in the process, I have made a slight slip-up. The ring gear as purchased is about .055 too long. This results in very poor engagement of the double-D joint. In machining down the ring gear on a transmission, I managed to take off a bit too much, and now the tranny binds slightly if I leave the rear thrust washer in. I can work around this in various ways, but I'd rather start fresh with one more ring gear if anyone has one to spare.
