NEED GENERAL HELP on how to find programming and animation resources

I am getting into programming and animation this summer. I need to know where to get resources on how to program and how to get everything I need to be able to program. I also have already started learning Autodesk and 3Ds studio max; but are there any other resources for help. I'm a beginner, the closest I have gotten to programming is working with HTML for web design.
