Does anyone know where I can find any documents/diagrams about how to wire the pneumatic soleniod valves? I haven't any experience of pnematics but I'd like to use some next year. The First Pnematics Manual shows how to connect the cylinders and release valves up in a great diagram but for the electrics only mentions pulsing the valves.

From what I've read in the forum the valves have to be driven from a Spike relay? Are all of the FRC kit valves driven from a spike?

Thanks

George

According to the pneumatics rules, they should all be handled via a spike relay.

How to wire a spike relay based on your needs can be found here:

Here are two very useful resources to consult:

FIRST 2007 Guidelines, Tips and Good Practices (http://www2.usfirst.org/2007comp/other/2007%20Guidelines_Tips_Good%20Practices_RevC.pdf) (starting at page 34).
and
FIRST 2007 Pneumatics Manual (http://www2.usfirst.org/2007comp/other/2007%20FRC%20Pneumatics%20Manual.pdf)

If you are attempting to wire double solenoid valves, you might check out this thread:

Thanks guys!

The tips and good practices is particulary useful.
I have a really big folder of FRC documents but I still managed to miss the ones I needed.
