Team 768 is proud to announce the latest release of our scouting package (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/FRCScout.jnlp), in time for the Championships.

New Features:

Additional Statistics - Upfront display on the teams tab of a team's average scoring, basic defensive/offensive numbers, and ranking points. We'd like to thank Team 8 (Paly Robotics) for the source code to the changes they made to our program.
Data Importing from Team 1114's Spreadsheet - Adds the summary of the information from their spreadsheet into the notes field on the team page.
Minor Bug Fixes - A few stability fixes.

In addition, we are making available for ease of setup the CSVs for each field at the Championships (load by selecting File -> Import -> Import Teams), as well as a CSV of 1114's spreadsheet (load by selecting File -> Import -> Import Regional Results):

Archimedes (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/Archimedes.csv)
Curie (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/curie.csv)
Galileo (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/galileo.csv)
Newton (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/newton.csv)
1114's Datasheet in CSV (http://71.206.53.237/webstart/2007_Championship_Scouting_Database.csv)

We are still planning one more minor release before Atlanta, to share scouting data with users of MARRS, so keep an eye on this thread or Scouting Cooperation @ Nationals '07 (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56559) for more information.

See you all in Atlanta!

One last update to the code before I'm incommunicado before the Championships:

Import from MARRS - Thanks to themagic8ball on Team 537 and proegssilb and astronouth7303 from Team 904, we've managed to come up with a system to collaborate on the scouting at Atlanta. Their end can handle the import of data from our application - we can handle importing CSV dumps of their match data table.

I should note that the import is very much "beta" software - it was included as a last-gasp feature and should be treated carefully as such. (Meaning read the help file to get it set up.) I will be at the Archimedes practice field for anyone who wants to help with the scouting collaboration or getting the exports/imports set up.

Good luck to everyone, and see you in Atlanta!

Export in CSV to MARRS - Last minute, we know, but there was a request for a simple export from Team 537.

This really is the last update before Atlanta. :) As with the prior mention of the importer, be aware that it's hastily written and therefore YMMV.

1. Add regionals in this application for those being imported. Record the regional IDs.
2. Create a file in the storage directory (by default c:\frc2007) called 'import.props'. One per line, add values in the form of X=Y, where X is the cid (competition id) from MARRS and Y is the appropriate regional ID from this application.

How? I don't know how to create files and if i did i don't understand One per line, add values in the form of X=Y, where X is the cid (competition id) from MARRS and Y is the appropriate regional ID from this application. Can you make the file or give more precise instructions (simpler). And for step one is the regional curie ?

As I said, it's not for the faint of heart.

Creating a file - navigate to the folder, right-click and create a new notepad file. Change it's name to 'import.props'.

I'd send along my file if I were able - I'm on a business trip and without access to my files until Friday when I arrive in Atlanta. If you're still struggling with this, find me at the Archimedes practice field (where I'll be volunteering) and I'll help you with it.
