View Full Version : ATLANTA ANIMATORS MEETUP
All animators meet in Atlanta:
Thursday 2:00pm at the Autodesk booth in the pits.
Be there. A nametag with your real name and CD screenname would help.
Spread the word.
I'll be hanging around there a lot probably.

Yeah! See you there on Thursday. I will probably be in that booth for a good portion of the day, not as much as last year, just when I do not have matches or with friends.
I will have to make up a nametag though.
Tis a shame Pete, I will meet up with you on Friday then.

Well i had fun. I got to see everyone again. I really had fun giving lessons on the basics of character animation. I met this one guy though, cant remember what team. Anyway his name is chris and he does this trick with forks. Its very bizzar and im still scratching my head in how he did it.
I got to met Jacob. One of the animators that made my jaw drop with their entry this year. Pretty cool guy, i never got his contact info. Does anybody know it?
Got to see Morgan again, I swear your the hardest guy to find. You poof yourself to another area of the room like a ninja.

@Pete
What was "Jacob's" animation about?
Jacobs animation was the most beautiful animation that i seen in all of the entries. He is from team 114 and he is the only animator on his team. check there animation out at first base, but it doesnt compare to the high quaility version that they have on their website. All the textures and scenery are beautifuly done.

Hiya! Jacob here. Thanks for the praise, Buddy, and congrats on winning. If you wanna contact me my email is DinkyDogg@gmail.com
Too bad I didn't see this thread before I went to Atlanta. But I did get to meet Peter and Morgan. Morrigan was hard to find, I guess cuz he was his team's driver as well as aminator.
Atlanta was fun, and we got those neat Autodesk tools. Was good to meet you guys!

I wasnt there thursday for the official meet up. But i eventually found people to talk to. I didnt know what John looked like from team 100 untill he approached me. Gosh, so long ago. I remember talking a LOT about character animation and this other guy, chirs, (although i forgot what team he was from) did this crazy fork trick. It was amazing.
