I've been impressed by the amount of time and effort I've seen Dan Green invest in FRC, FLL, VEX and WildStang and I'm sure I don't know the half of it.
He has had a strong effect on the students many of whom are now mentors on WildStang and other teams.
His inspiration is so strong that several parents have stayed on as WildStang mentors after their children have graduated high school! (The most famous examples are Al Skierkiewicz and his wife Dottie.)
As the years go by and others mentors are burning out Dan Green accepts more and more FIRST work.
Congratulations Dan; you deserve this award!
Dan is by far one of the most amazing mentors ever. He truly deserves this award. Congratulations Dan!

Dan, after seeing how much you have done for WildStang and for the FIRST program in these six (I think) years that I have known you, it is great to see that you have recieved such an amazing award...
Congrats Dan!
An amazing mentor from an amazing team, congratulations Dan Green.

I first met Dan Green on Archimedes in 2004. That division that year had a lot of legendary robots--45, 237, 71, 716, 494, 33, etc.--but Dan did a heck of a job on the microphone, enough to really open up one particular rookie's eyes.
Congratulations, Dan!

I can't think of a better person to join the ranks of the most important role models in FIRST. I'm certainly a better person for having known you!

Dan,
Congratulations on such a stellar accomplishment. I cannot express my happiness that the newest member of this 'best of the best' group is a friend. Many of those who know you are aware of the hard work and behind the scenes schmoozing you do every year to organize the Midwest Regional, announce at events and help start teams. What many people do not know is your dedication to the students of this country and northern Illinois in particular. You teach by example and make the other mentors of Wildstang believe in the future of these students and all of the FIRST program. Your enthusiasm is contagious and drives everyone who meets you to think outside the box and strive to be better.
You have helped make me believe that our decisions are driven by what is right for the students. I hope that our decisions will change the culture and that our past twelve seasons will prove to be only a beginning. Here's to you...

Dan, Dan, Dan... where do I start? First time I was introduced to Dan Green at Motorola (Plantation, Florida). The advice and the knowledge he gave me was wonderful.
... since then I have seen him at competitions. He is a busy man but he will not hesitate to talk to you if you got a question for him. If I were a Wildstang member right now, I would be very privilaged to be mentored by Dan. This award is well deserved Dan. Congrats... I am hoping to see you at IRI.
