I thought ChiefDelphi would be a good place to find some interest for this. http://robots.net/article/2204.html

They are looking for a robotics enthusiast to be on Wife Swap.

This looks sweet.... Just e-mailed my mom about it....

I would totally do this. Wouldn't it be sweet to switch with some non-FIRSTer's mother for a week?

Nice....

During build season...:ahh:

ZOMG..... Whoever it is would be driven NUTS.... And during the second week, under the new mother's rule, I couldn't imagine no build... I'm starting to rethink this...

But imagine the publicity for the intensity of FIRST that could come from this!

I dont think it would be all that interesting . . . . how many of you see your parents during the build season(not counting when they get involved just to see you). al though they could do something about showing up at 1 in the morning hoped up on mountain dew smelling of plywood and aluminum

now if they did it during competition season . . that would be interesting.quotes like "why are you so loud", "your not going out in public with your hair like that/ wearing all that pink/ in a chicken suit",.

ok I resend my previous statements, it would be interesting to watch.

I want to see the wife of a generic high school family swap with the wife of a FIRST family.

Generic HS mom to FIRST kid:
"What are you doing, taking those tools to school? Why the funny glasses? What's with the hat?"

FIRST mom to Generic HS Kid:

"Where are your tools, you saftey glasses, and your hat?"

This has already been discussed last fall when the search for families was initially begun: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50155 and http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46959... I'm not sure the search is still open. Please continue your discussion on one of the other threads.
