An all day program featuring Dr. Mamoru Mohri, executive director of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Tokyo.

Not to mention a FREE event two weeks earlier (May 5th) at the Air and Space Museum (in DC). Space Day 2007 will feature several area FRC teams running FIRST, Robotics, Vex, and Space related displays/activities.

Local robotics teams will show off their latest creations with a robot petting zoo.

A robot petting zoo?

The teams will demonstrate their expertise in building and running robots for competition.
^Thats more like it!^

The "petting zoo" is really a 10'x10' field where anyone can drive vex bots in a simple game. Don't ask me how or why it got that name.

Sounds like a great event and a perfect environment to showcase FIRST.

Have fun.

Petting Zoo translates easily to parents as:
hands on
children welcome
f-u-n

and as an aside, recruits can easily be 'corralled'. :D
