This is the first running of this event, we hope to make it an annual event. The event is still in its planning stages, but more information will be released soon. Registration will begin within a few weeks, but we wanted to get this information out so teams can plan to attend if they are able. Those who have questions should contact Steven Ketron or Kyle Dersch.

We have already had questions about volunteering, and those are being directed to Steve until we have a committee setup to handle volunteer coordination. Again, questions should be directed to Steve or Kyle.

I have also added two white papers with a little bit more information for interested volunteers/those who want to help out.

Don't forget to add yourself on CD Events!

Mods: The other two threads can be closed in off-season events and GD.

do you have a basic idea of the schedule?

Will matches start on Friday, or Friday night, or Saturday?

This could make a big difference for teams who start school in mid-August.

Most likely, we will setup later Friday Morning and run practice matches into Friday evening, then go all day Saturday (typical FIRST schedule for that day).

UPDATE! REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

Since I cannot edit old posts, I will continue to update CD-Events. As of now, it will be August 17th - Afternoon (3pm)/Evening (Practice Rounds) and August 18th - ALL DAY. Here is the link to download the registration document: 2007 Michigan Advanced Robotics Competition (MARC) Registration Form (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/1999). We plan on opening 32 spaces initially and if needed, we can accommodate a few more.

Also, we have NUMEROUS positions that need great volunteers - we have field reset, crowd control, queuing, field repair, pit admin...the list goes on. Those interested in volunteering should contact Steve Ketron.

We are still filling spots for volunteers and accepting registrations. Also, we are seeking an experienced person as head announcer/MC for the event. If interested, please contact Steve Ketron. Also, the Volunteer Needs List is now on UPDATE2 for the most accurate available positions.

We have not had any teams sign-up yet. However, I have had over 20 teams show interest in our event. I believe if we get some powerhouse teams like 47 to be the first to be on our attending list all the others would shortly follow.
