**FIRST EMAIL**/Team Forum Information

Greetings Team Leaders:

We had an exciting year and there is much to talk about regarding team experiences, the events, the game and overall satisfaction with the
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) program. If you would like to express your thoughts regarding your team's experience with the FRC program, we invite you to attend one of the Team Forums listed on the FRC Events Page.

Please click on http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=5454 for a full listing of forums.

If you are unable to attend a forum but would like to provide feedback, please send an email to frcteams@usfirst.org with answers to the following questions:

1. What aspects of the FIRST experience have you particularly liked and/or valued?
2. What aspects of the FIRST experience would you particularly like to see improved?
3. What needs to be changed or improved in terms of technology used in FRC? Are there new technologies that need to be added?
4. Are there additional kinds of training and/or support that you need from FIRST? What delivering mechanisms (DVDs,
workshops, mentoring, etc.) work best for you?
5 What aspects of your FIRST experience would be the most crucial to improve?
6. What (besides providing more money) might be the most important things FIRST could do to help sustain your team's involvement in FRC over the long term?
7.What do you see as the highest priority where FRC should focus its efforts?

Please include "Team Forum Feedback" in the Subject line. Team number inclusion is optional.

Thank you in advance for providing feedback so that FIRST can continue to strive to make FRC a truly inspirational experience.

Go Teams!

Nothing west of Kansas? Lame.

Seems like they wanted to stay close to FIRST HQ maybe.

People here is your chance to bring up all the stuff everyone was talking and complaining about and let FIRST know in an official way so it, hopefully, wont happen again next year.

Nothing west of Kansas? Lame.

Agreed. Although, I am east of Kansas, but there are a boatload of teams out west that deserve to get their input heard.

I have got to give some applause to Susan Lawrence. She will be driving all over the midwest to make sure that all of our thoughts and comments are heard and acknowledged. 5 forums over the next short period of time, great job Susan, and thanks for taking such good care of us!

Hang on gang ...
I'm sure more forums are still to be listed/happen. I can't speak for everywhere, but the Philly region is still trying to finalize plans and I'm sure others are working on this too. Also note that FIRST HQ does not have anything to do with scheduling the forums, they simply provide the Regional Directors with a "desired window" of dates and some information on collecting info/reporting. In many regions the RDs assign/appoint someone to run/facilitate these meetings and that's why you see a variety of contact people.

If you want to know IF and WHEN there will be an FRC team forum in your area, don't contact HQ to ask, start with your Regional Director. Although the date has passed, FIRST also conducted these forums for teams at the Championship. Everyone is trying their best to provide for teams here.

Just to echo Rich... There should be more forums coming up on-line soon. I know that here in Connecticut, we are still trying to finalize the details (date, time, location, etc.).

Keep an eye on the FIRST website (http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=5454) and also let you team contacts to keep an eye out for information that could also be sent to their email.
