"Rockwell Collins and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology) are making a major announcement
regarding a significant financial and resource commitment to
expand FIRST LEGO League and other FIRST programs throughout
Iowa and in the company's locations in the United States.
The announcement will take place at the annual Rockwell
Collins K-12 Partnership Program kickoff breakfast. FIRST LEGO
League encourages 9 to 14 year-olds to explore Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts through a
hands-on, interactive robotics program. Rockwell Collins and
FIRST are also teaming up to support FIRST Tech Challenge as a
way to continue to engage high school students in science and
technology as they get older."
