Does anyone know of any robotics competitions for college students?
Grand Challenge? UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)? NURC (the underwater robotics competition)?
And don't forget the old standbys such as Mini-Baja and Concrete Canoe. Engineering schools have lots of competitions. Or, you could mentor a FIRST team...

unfortunatly once you hit the college level you'll have to settle for being a mentor, if your allowed.

Let's not forget our history folks.
FIRST started as an idea by Dean, but was based on the MIT robotics engineering curriculum hosted and directed by among others, Woodie Flowers, and the competition still runs to this day.
I realize it's based to MIT students alone for class credit, but I'm sure there are more programs like that at other colleges.

The various programs at universities highlight just another reason to attend college. I'm not sure if the amount of enthuiasm can be match, but sence of accomplishment can.;)

yeah, i guess it is a bit undortunate. but lets not forget that the team does need us mentors - our wisdome of previous years and all :p there are some colleges that do show interest is aiding a high school team by allowing the college to host a demonstration (mine is one of them). i guess it all depends on who you can find there - the right people.
