How to fit 1 TB of data on one CD-sized disk (http://www.tech.co.uk/home-entertainment/hi-fi-and-audio/other-playback-and-recording-formats/news/how-to-fit-1tb-of-data-on-one-cd-sized-disc?articleid=1665250963&source=rss)

I though this was an interesting article on what's to come. Is Israel becoming a hotbed of new computer technology or has it been for a while?

Could be. Either way, ONE TERRABYTE!!! ON ONE DISK!!!!!! Just as I was impressed with the terrabytes as an external hardrive. It will definitley be a great breakthrough.

Oh, it has been so for a while.

Those discs dont look to good though. It seems to me that information will be lost rather easily...

That's insane!!!

It could easily take me years to use up that much space.

I know a way you can figure out how long it will take. Take the limit off of the recycle bin and never empty it. See how long it takes to fill up a terabyte. :D

Wouldn't take me that long. I've got my entire CD collection on my harddrive, to the tune of 50ish gigs. With space like that, DVDs also become wasted shelfspace.

Not to mention HD DVRs. Now I can TiVo every episode of Srubs and save it forever in HD. :D
