Dawgma 1712 used The AM gearbox, a one speed running at roughly 12.5:1, same ratio as the Banebots box.

We used the guts from the AM Gen 2 shifters and put them into our own custom side plates.

The ThunderChickens love our 1-speed "Copioli" transmission :)

1618 used the AndyMark Gen2 Shifter, with the pneumatics. (We used the small and big CIMs in tandem, as we needed one small CIM for our arm.)

1293 used the BaneBots 12:1 gearboxes, directly into their tread sprockets.

The TechnoKats used altered guts from the AndyMark Gen 2 with our own side plates. The AndyMark's were adapted to use a live axle system.

So you did have more Torque than us, I always wondered....

So you did have more Torque than us, I always wondered....

In addition to gearing, the torque output depends upon wheel diameter and coefficient of friction. We were running on 4 AM omniwheels and 2 AM kitwheels, all 6" diameter. We were heavier than y'all, I'd venture, as well.

What sort of wheels did you have and what size were they? Did you have an additional chain-based reduction after your 12:1 gearboxes?

I think we probably could put more torque to the floor, as things go, but momentum ought not be underestimated and we were quite a bit slower than you.

Two AndyMark Gen. 2 Pneumatic shifters, each with dual-2.5" ("Small") CIM motors, further reduced by a 12:30 chain reduction, driving 6" AndyMark Performance wheels (live axle) with Roughtop Nitrile treads. Six wheels, center wheel lowered 1/8" at IRI, but coplanar at VCU and Championship.

Custom 2 speed dog shifter running to 6 custom 4 inch aluminum wheels.

Simple, effective, and potent. We held our own and actually damaged several teams drive systems when they decided to play head to head against us.

Keep an eye out, our '08 drive train should be something of a spectacle.
