This is an alternate league drafting live on Wednesday 9/12 at 7:30 PM.

Since so many were hoping for a live draft today, I've created a new Yahoo league available to any who want a chance to be in a league with the live draft experience. Note that Week 1 scoring will not be counted in this league due to Yahoo draft scheduling limitations. This is a sacrifice you must be willing to make in order to play.

Those in Eddie's league (with newly randomized autodraft) are welcome to remain in that league while participating in this one to receive 2 unique fantasy football experiences.

Others who aren't in either of the other 2 leagues are also welcome to join - up to 16 teams will be accepted.

Registration Link:
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/register/joinleague

League Name: FIRST Football League III

League ID#: 704382

Password: 12345678

I'll need a minimum of 8 players in order to keep the league active.

I do not plan on cluttering CD with additional previews/reviews/awards and such, but if someone else wishes to take up this activity, go for it.

I could try to change it to "1" if that would help. :D

What, you don't need a co-manager to hold your hand this time?

We're still at 9 teams but need an even number of teams in order to draft. Now I know there are some intrepid souls out there who'd like to be a part of FIRST Fantasy Football League III. If you've never done fantasy football before, now's your chance to try it out. All you need is a free Yahoo ID and the league login info at the beginning of this thread.

Thanks, Stevie. I've capped the league at 10 players to avoid any last minute stragglers creating another odd number of teams and deleting our draft time. Draft at 7:30 tonight. Come prepared!!

My Picks:

Manatees vs. Youngstown Hitmen II
It will be a close one, as the positions near the top are evenly matched.
The XaulZans vs. Adam's Atoms
Adam needs some atoms from a team other than Pittsburgh.
Evil Trav's Minions vs. Cromer Smash!
Another tight one, Cromer Smash! wins with a better receiving corps.
RobotsRobots vs. Peyton's Goats
Peyton's Goats simply has better skill players.
Nor Cal Crushers vs. Stevie's Scapegoats
Two offensive powerhouses; this one is won by the defense.

Hmm we'll see - Driver vs. the "Playing Defense is merely a suggestion, not a requirement" Giants and Galloway vs. the sieve that is the Saints (please put Jason David on him, pretty please).

And unlike Rex Grossman, Tom Brady does not inhale audibly. If #1 Bears target Bernard Berrian can get 5-83 against SD's secondary with Grossman chuckin' and prayin', #1 New England target Randy Moss can do much better with Brady at the helm. But there's always the chance Brady throws it to Stallworth or Welker instead.

I'm looking to upgrade my 3rd WR. I'm willing to trade Kevin Curtis or Vincent Jackson and Green or Turner for a WR.

Guys:

You know you can use the "Trading Block" feature within Yahoo to post who you're putting on the block and what positions you're looking for in return. It might cut back on the post clutter here on CD.
