Hi !
I just got a new notebook PC that is running MS Vista (it it is matters the version is Home Premium), and I wonder if MPLAB IDE with C18 complier will work on vista? what about IFI Loader?
If the versions that I currently have from the last year doesn't support vista the new packaged software will support?
Thank you all,
Ben

I just got a new notebook with vista on it and so far I havent had any problems. Mplab and the compiler installed and run ok. I havent tried editing or compiling any code yet because I just installed it and I dont have a usb to serial converter to load any code but I think it should run fine.
Make sure your usb serial cable has a vista driver. My usb serial cable worked great under xp but is very flaky on my laptop with a vista driver. Looks like I'll have to buy a new one. Any body now of a good vista compatible usb serial cable?

I've been running MPlab, C18, and EasyC, on Vista since April, and I've only had one issue.
EasyC wouldn't run unless it was run as administrator, but I have UAC disabled, so that isn't an issue.
