As I am starting my freshman year in the Northeastern College of Engineering, I am taking a course called "intro to leadership studies". I have learned a variety of leadership techniques and practices that can be applied to any organization. As a part of the course, we are required to do a project that teaches other people about leadership. I thought FIRST would be a great start. ANYONE can be a leader if they want to be, they just need some tools and practices in order to get the ball rolling. Everything I have learned so far in the class has been interesting and exciting to learn. I wish I knew some of these ideas while I was a team leader with 177.

So the point is: who is interested in learning more about leadership? Would you like to learn more about how to be an affective leader for their FIRST team? Who is willing to learn different ideas regarding leadership that you may have never considered before? This is open to anyone who is interested, if anyone at all.

I figured I could just post a discussion post once a week, and at your weekly meetings you could practice these ideas and give me feedback.

Please let me know your thoughts!
Thanks!

Excellent Idea!

Team 1511 does a leadership "boot camp" for its student leaders in the fall and this sounds like it would be a great supplement to that! I can't wait to see your tips!
