you need to teather the robot to the controler to sync them then you can disconnect and run under radio control. if you want to use a difrent controler you will have to teather them first again. I hope that is what you were having trouble with

...or if you wish to run the robot totally autonomously, the FRC Reference Manual (http://www.ifirobotics.com/docs/rc-ref-guide-6-13-2006.pdf) tells you to set your team # to 0.
