Hello again, everyone!

We hope work on your robots for Marble Madness is progressing nicely! We just want to give you a few updates:

The first batch of Q/A will be posted on the website this weekend, but they are including below as well. Look for a concept drawing of the autoloader this weekend as well. We are working very hard, but if it is not ready in time for league nights this week, we will have “manual” auto-loaders.

We want to remind everyone that if you are going to be participating in the league nights that you need to register ($25 per robot) as soon as possible. If you are only attending the discussions and observing competition, there is no fee, but space is limited and competing teams will get priority.

The Milwaukee Vex Challenge will be held Sunday, December 2nd, 2007, at Thomas More High School. The schedule will be released in the coming weeks. Registration for the tournament is $50 per robot and will end one week prior to the tournament. The capacity for this event is 36 teams

All registration information, manual updates, and Q/A can be found at mfso.groups.msoe.edu/Vex

We hope to see you soon!

1) Is there any info yet on the Auto-loaders?

We are still having some issues with the auto-loaders. If they are not ready for the first League Night next week, we will have "manual" auto-loaders. The basic concept however will be that there is a large button that extends into the playing field between the corner and side goal on each half of the field (on the scoring table side) and when a robot drives into this button, an egg will fall from directly above the button (the chute height will be above the 15" starting height, but we don't have exact dimensions at this time). Keep checking our website this weekend for more detailed dimensional information

2) What is the multiplier for if total weight exceeds 520 grams?

A total weight beyond 520 grams still receives a 5x multiplier.

3) Will Egg Shells in the parts bins count in the total collective weight?

Yes, even if they are broken (but please don't break them!)

4) Is it legal to add weight to the opposing alliances bins?

Yes, provided you do not violate any other rules.
