Greetings Teams:
Last year Autodesk launched a website dedicated to FRC teams called FIRSTbase. This year Autodesk will re-launch the site for the 2008 FRC season, complete with all of the great online features from last season, plus several new enhancements! Here are some of the items you can expect to find on FIRSTbase:
Autodesk Inventor 2008 software (10 licenses)
Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 software (5 licenses)
Online training materials designed especially for you
The Autodesk Kit of Parts
Technical support access
Autodesk Design Competition entries, finalists, and winners
Team sharing functionality including large files, photos, and communicationsHow to access FIRSTbase
The current site is for the 2007 FIRST season. If you were registered with Autodesk FIRSTbase in 2007 you can continue to utilize the site, located at www.autodesk.com/firstbase (http://www.autodesk.com/firstbase). Teams new this season will not be able to use FIRSTbase until the site is re-launched.
The Autodesk FIRSTbase site is expected to re-launch in early November 2007.
When the site is re-launched, the main contact that is listed in the FIRST TIMS database will receive an email communication with instructions on how to register or re-activate the team. If you are the same main contact from last season and have already registered on FIRSTbase, you will still need to re-activate your team and invite your team members to join or re-join.
FIRST extends its many thanks Autodesk for their continued support to our teams. We encourage all teams to take advantage of the great benefits and features offered by Autodesk this season!
Go Teams!
