Banned for making a generalization. Plenty of people have negative reputations, it just means they made some posts that people did not agree with or they are still learning the ropes here. Based on the post count I would assume it is the latter. Negative reputation is just feedback saying "Hey bro, you need to think about what you just posted, it reflects negatively on you" It is a much nicer way of letting a person know that than the alternatives (insulting them in a thread) Plus, many of us have received negative reputation from people for various things.
(I probably should have said this in a PM but posting it doesn't hurt anyone)
