I am a Rookie team sponsor, we have succesfully built our FTC robot, but I dont know where to start with the programming. We have just been testing everything with the preprogrammed slots on the micro controller. I have the EasyC programming kit aqnd have read through the programming guide, but doesnt provide a whole lot of help. So any recommendations out there would be great. We have four wheel drive, plus two motors running our arm and hand.

Thank You

Mike,

Start here (http://www.vexlabs.com/docs/inventors-guide/programming-guide.pdf). Is this what you looked at already?

If you have any problems, post again or send me an email.

Mike B., I got hung up when trying your link.

Mike G. Is this the programming guide that you already have? http://www.usfirst.org/community/fvc/content.aspx?id=6650 Remember, you must have the Master Code v. 7 and the 2007 Quad Quandary competition template downloaded.

There is a bit of programming advice for rookies in this white paper, though it focuses more on the mechanics:

The link is good (I just verified it). Note that the file is a 32MB pdf file. Even at DSL speeds it may take 10 minutes or more to download. Also be sure that your browser has the Adobe plug-in to read pdf files.

check out: http://www.intelitekdownloads.com/Competitions/

There is a video that pretty much goes from start to finish on how to program the robot. Also the help file has a great getting started section.
