Question is: What playoff teams start to rest their stars and give up games?
None - most races are tight still and the Patriots are well . . . The Patriots.
And who starts throwing away this season in order to get a higher draft pick or jump-start on next season?
Miami . . . Rams, maybe the Jets.

Thursday
Denver at Houston
Sounds like a pretty boring game.
Saturday
Cincinnati at San Francisco
This is the type of game that makes me appreciate not having the nfl network.
Sunday
Seattle at Carolina
Panthers look horrible.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
Tampa bounce back.
Green Bay at St. Louis
Not even close.
Jacksonville at Pittsburgh
Maybe the best game of the week, giving it to the home field advantage.
Arizona at New Orleans
No idea.
Buffalo at Cleveland
Buffalo are looking good, but I still don't think they're a match to the Browns.
Tennessee at Kansas City
Another bounce back game.
Baltimore at Miami
Rooting for 0-16
New York Jets at New England
...
Indianapolis at Oakland
...
Detroit at San Diego
SD might have finally gained some confidence.
Philadelphia at Dallas
Best of the NFC after pulling out the W at Detroit
Washington at New York Giants
NYG jockying for a playoff spot, Washington just playing for pride
Monday
Chicago at Minnesota
The purple people eaters are back.

Anyone that has clinched should rest their starters and then put them back in the last game of the season. Of course the Pats want to go 16-0 so they won't
And who starts throwing away this season in order to get a higher draft pick or jump-start on next season?
Anyone with less than 3 wins. Maybe a few with only 4

Wow... I didn't think I'd call this one so soon. First quitters of the year = Falcons. Granted they probably gave up once Vick was indicted (I know I didn't think they had any chance at a successful season), But when your head coach leaves with only 3 weeks left and there was no reasoning or scandal before hand, he probably needed to leave.
So remember kids, don't pick the Falcons or Dolphins, because they're not going to be winning anytime soon (for at least this season).:p

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh - Reverse psychology.
Arizona at New Orleans
Buffalo at Cleveland - I'm not getting doubly hosed if Cleveland blows it. I have no faith in this team until they put forth a total solid effort.
Tennessee at Kansas City
Baltimore at Miami - START TROY SMITH, Billick, you dolt. He just may save your job.
New York Jets at New England
Indianapolis at Oakland
Detroit at San Diego - this could easily go the other way.

What playoff teams start to rest their stars and give up games?
I think a perfect season is more important to the Patriots than giving players some rest.
Who starts throwing away this season in order to get a higher draft pick or jump-start on next season?
I think Miami has that covered

After noticing that almost all my picks were for the away teams, I almost decided to go back and switch all my picks to the away teams, but of course that would lead to me getting all the games I switched wrong. Stupid irony

Can somebody tell me Houston's chances of making the playoffs because on the NFL webpage they say something along the lines of Houston staying alive for playoffs and I thought Houston had lost it.
My understanding is if the the Titans and the Bills lose today and next time, and we somehow beat the Colts next week AND beat Jacksonville the week after, we could be headed for the post season. If two teams have an equal number wins and losses and equal division wins and losses, who advances?

There are only 2 wild card spots, which are currently held by Jacksonville and Cleveland.
Houston is listed in that article, but tiebreakers for the Texans aren't mentioned, probably because there are far too many combinations of things that need to happen in order for Houston to make it. Your chances are slim indeed. Your playoff chances start with a whole lot of Cleveland, Buffalo, and Tennessee losing. I presume Jacksonville will lock up a spot, so there will be four teams fighting for that final spot.
According to the article, with Denver's loss last night, Cleveland clinches a playoff spot if they beat the Bills and Tennessee loses to KC. It's supposed to snow like crazy - winter storm watch for Sunday - in Cleveland, so that'll probably mess everything up, negate the Browns' passing game, and hand the Bills another cheap victory etc. Typical. Tennessee has no business losing to KC, but stranger things have happened.

Wow something we agree on Travis!!!:) I think this guy will be a star and he'll be starting next year no doubt.
He showed flashes of his Ohio State days in that horrible game and gave the Ravens something to look forward to, as much as I don't like this team (Steelers fan), I like where its headed.

Oh how the not-so-mighty have fallen.
Steelers tied with the "lowly" Browns. Oh the humanity.....
KC couldn't hold off Tennessee though. Bah.

I knew I should have picked Miami. When I walked in the room where my brother was watching the game, I saw it tied in overtime and I knew Miami would win, even though Baltimore had the ball and had just had to good runs.
