As many know, The Christmas Story is on for 24 hours on TBS today, and I have to say it is my very favorite Christmas movie. My question to you is, how can you relate to this classic? Personally, my grandma's house is wired like Ralphie's.
I am sorry, I don't mean to bash anyone/thing but I dislike that movie. It was the only thing on, I was watching it in a hotel with limited television choices, I was sick, and jet lagged. There was nothing else to do at said hotel and it got a little boring after watching for a while. Made me suicidal... :P :) :( ;(

Come on, vivek. It's a standard classic. And the house where it was shot is here in Cleveland, turned into a TV museum.
Anyway, I don't think we really relate to the movie at all, but we watch it every year. The Polar Express has also become a tradition in our family now.
I've never seen it actually.
Our Christmas Classic is Muppet Christmas Carol. What can I say. =D

A Christmas Story is a good movie but not for 24 hours. By the 6th or 7th hour, I just want TBS to play something else.
On a side note I like: the Black and white version of "Its a wonderful life", the cartoons "How the Grinch stole Christmas" and the 2 Frosty the snowman cartoons. Also 2nd behind Its a wonderful life is "Jingle all the Way"

I'm glad someone finally mentioned "It's a Wonderful Life". It's just doesn't feel like the Christmas season without it.

I guess no one mentioned it since it's automatically number one. We normally don't watch the whole marathon obviously, but once or twice we'll catch it.

FYI
Jean Sheperd co-wrote and narrated the movie. Although it was shot in Ohio, it is based on his childhood life in Hammond, Indiana. Hohman High was really Hammond High, which is one of Team 71's four high schools. Hohman Street is the main street through downtown Hammond. His younger brother Randy stayed in the area, moving to the adjancent town of Highland.

I'll third that one.
My only other Christmas movie I think I actually watched this year was Miracle on 34th Street, and most of The Polar Express, which left me with a very uneasy feeling.
Idk.. Something about those elves creeped me out...
