View Full Version : Can't download from Autodesk FIRSTbase

Either I'm being stupid or it's not about me, but I can't seem to be able to download the Inventor and 3ds max from the FIRSTBase Autodesk website.

I went with my mentor over the whole approval and download premissions process but when we click on "download Inventor 2008..." it jumps us to the Software Download page where it instructs us again, what to do, with no links to download.

Is it possible to download the programs now, or is it too early? if too early, when can we download it?

Its not too early b/c I know that some people have d/l'ed it already. Also, teams would have downloaded it to use for the Safety Animation. Other than that...I don't know.

there should be a download button at the bottom of the instruction page if your browser doesn't already launch the downloader. If not try it again but when you click download hold Crtl.

I can't even download the tool! That's my problem, I want to download it, so I can download the 2 softwares, but I'm not able to do it on their site... :/

What browser are you using? FirstBase is designed primarily for Internet Explorer. Hope it helps and Happy New Year!

Myproblem is only with the first zip file. It gets about half downloaded then thinks it is done.

After your mentor sent you the invite to download and you accepted did they then go back and checkoff which programs that you are able to download? Several of our team members have downloaded it including me. By the way I have DSL and it still took all night to download when I did it. Hope you don't have dial up. Good Luck.

just a note, when using a laptop w/ wireless: always use a solid connection instead of wireless. I have had several large downloads go bad on me because of it breaking up.

As soon as my new laptop is delivered, I am going to download Inventor.

Clarify. What zip file? the downloader is a .exe
