Morgan looks...just fine.

I heard it's also a terror to fit into a car =]

Hey, Alexa, and Morgan, how about you deflate the ball a little bit before you try and move it =]

yeah, our prototyping meetings were going on in two different rooms, so we had to take a 'field trip' to do any real hands-on testing.

This reminds me so much of Violet from the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory when she turns into a blueberry. We were able to get it though the doors at school without too much effort pushing though it.

That happened about five times today!

Each time gets funnier and funnier!

I think your gonna need a bigger door!

I just took took some pneumatic fittings from the KoP and a 1/4" NPT Quick Connect fitting, and used our workshop's compressed air supply to inflate the sphere. You can stick the 1/4" tubing from the KoP right into the hole on the ball to inflate it.

If you don't have a shop compressed air supply, take the output from the KoP compressor hooked up to the KoP tubing.

lol, the balls are 40" in diameter. Most doors have 36" opening. How many times can we inflate and deflate them before they brake?

how long did it take to in flate/deflate and will a constant flate/deflate damage the tracking ball(btw just realize the nerdy connection to a trackball mouse)

haha that happened to us too.

we inflated it outside and couldnt find a way to get inside...all the doors had the separators in between!

we ended up figuring out how to take off the separator then had to put it back on after

Hey um, by the way, when fully inflated does it really feel like it weighs 10 pounds?, thats what it says it should weigh in the manual.......

We weighed ours to be just a hair under 8 pounds.

Ours measures about 7.5 pounds. It actually does feel lighter to me than the ones at the kickoff in Manchester.

Morgan blew it up. That's why his eyes are read in the picture.
He only passed out three times.

i guess you can abuse your compressor. Anyone test this and see how long it takes though?

somehow... it fits through our doors... i think a couple of ours are 38"... so we just need to push it through

We used two of the KOP compressors for previous years, and it still took about ten minutes to inflate the ball. I know someone with a compressor they don't use often, but we didn't want to drive 35 minutes there and back to inflate the trackball.

Yeah, we are in a similarly lucky situation. The main door to our shop is one of those double door type things, so we have no problem there. Most of the other doors we need to get it through are double doors, but have dividers down the middle. Handily enough, we can remove the dividers if we want to. However, we have yet to remove one of the dividers since it actually isn't that hard to get through standard width doors. All it needs is some 'persuasion.'

My neighbour has a compressor to inflate pool toys, so we borrowed that from him and used it to inflate ours. We had to have one of our team members with a truck bring it up to the school. Now, when we need to get it through doors, we deflate it a bit and then re-inflate it with a compressor that we have in our shop.
