<G36> HOME STRETCH Height Restriction – ROBOTS in the HOME STRETCH of the opposing ALLIANCE can not be more than 6 feet tall. A PENALTY will be assigned for each infraction.
This rule makes it so you cannot take TRACKBALLS off of the opponent's OVERPASS from their HOME STRETCH which is the area on their side of the filed leading up to the finish line. There is no distinction between HYBRID or TELEOPERATED modes.
In accordance with:
<G22> Direction Of Traffic – ROBOTS must proceed around the TRACK in a counter-clockwise direction. Once a ROBOT has CROSSED a LANE MARKER or FINISH LINE, it shall not break the plane of the line by moving in the clockwise direction. A PENALTY will be assigned for each infraction.
You cannot cross the finish line and reach back over the finish line to get the TRACKBALL.
The only feasible way to get the ball down would be to trow a TRACKBALL at one still on the OVERPASS.
The game animation shows a RED ALLIANCE ROBOT extending higher than 6 feet in the BLUE HOME STRETCH.
Will teams have to gamble between the value of the penalty and the number of points score-able during the match?
