I was reading through the rules and i started to speculate the validity of launching a ball as a justifiable method of hurdling. The second specification concerning hurdling says that the robot must be "in POSSESSION of a TRACKBALL" and i don't know if launching is considered possession. any thoughts?

wow, so i feel stupid because i just read the definition of possession and deemed that launching is an invalid form of hurdling. i guess this thread is useless now...

Actually, it has been deemed that launching is valid hurdling. There are a bunch of other threads on hurdling, and at least a few on launching. In summary, launching is legal as long as your robot is moving towards the overpass when it launches.
