Your pneumatics layout looks really nice, and I'm amazed at the quick, beautiful CAD work you did. How did you turn this out so quickly?

Well we break up the students in a couple groups and unleash them on inventor and i collaborate them together and we produce what you see, my students will be happy with the praise :)

how would your arm be manipulating the trackballs

if it in the cad I missed it and im sorry

It looks like you're using the kit toughbox to direct drive the center wheel. If so how have you calculated you're speed. I don't think there is enough reduction in the gearbox to get the speed low enough for a direct drive application using 6' wheels

If I remember from a few days ago, direct drive with the Toughbox for a 6" wheel is about 10.9 ft/s (theoretical). Don't take my word as this is from memory of course.

Nice quick CAD models there. I wish we knew that much of our potential robot already.

we have not drawn the trackball manipulator yet

we are actually not using the toughbox, we designed and are building a 2 speed trans but we dont have the cad drawing for it at the moment

hey was lookin the cad over again and noticed that the pnuematics are on the other side of where your going to be puting the arm on

what is that being used for

Nice layout of components.

Though I might change the front and back wheels to omni- so as to allow better turning.

it was just a good place to put it, we can run the tubing as far as we need tho we are just using one ram for our manipulator, and one on each transmission (we arnt using the toughbox i just don't have our two speed transmission drawings)
