IFIloader and usb converter does not work

Ifiloader does not work with the usb to serial converter i am using.

It connects and when i click download it just sits on establishing port connection and then freezes up. Samething with the terminal when i open it and hit reset it freezes.

From your last post you indicated you were using Ubuntu. Are you still trying to use the windows version in wine? That's probably not the right way to go. Or is this on windows now?

could not get it working with linux, so i dual booted with Xp, and its still not working

If you are in linux try using Jifi (a java ifi loader clone)

I get an error,

C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\Desktop\jifi\Jifi.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorret. Reinstalling the application may fix this probelm

i tried the older version, but when i click upload it says

RC not found.
Check that the RC is in program mode and connected to the right port.

and the port and everything is setup right

im guessing it is the adapter, so i will go buy another, which one have you gotten working with linux?

Last year we had the same exact problem with the code. It coudnt upload and always gave us errors and saying incorrect port. We fixed it by getting a usb to serial converter. That pretty much solved the problem.

I have a serial convert that does not work :( Did you get yoru converter working with linux? if so what model do you have?

We used XP to get ours working. When I get a chance tommorow, I will get the model #.
