I got mine by downloading a 30 day trial offer for ROBOTC, and just pieced it together from sample codes. Here is are few codes I pieced together. You can try them if you want. Just make some custom changes and you're done. Otherwise search for a thread with FIRST Free ROBOTC downloads.
(sorry if this isn't any help

Here is the link (http://www.ifirobotics.com/docs/frc-code-2007-8722.zip)to it on the IFI site. It is the same code as was used in 2007.

Be careful with this statement. Kevin has created a new version of code that can be used as the default, but you need to pay attention to which version you grab. One version is for the KOP software using C18 compiler v2.4, the other requires a new version of both MPLAB and C18. As of this posting, he has not added them to his website, but there is a link back to this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60377)with all the details. I suggest you read all of the thread. Right now, the newest version is linked on the last page or two.

So when should we expect the final version of the 2008 code to be finished by Kevin?

I guess so. But to be dependent on one person may not be a good thing, even if they experts, :D
