Yes we have a driveable bot now. We also have our lift done, our ball knocker downer done, and our herder. We just took them off for the vid.

They let you drive on the gym floor? We'd get thrown out for doing that.

Have you tried the handling on carpet?

Yep, they sure do let us do that.

I dont think so, but it can only run better on carpet. I left right after this was taken because i was sick.

I dont think so, but it can only run better on carpet. I've heard stories of teams who didn't test on carpet and wound up having a non-turning robot the first day of competition. Get it onto carpet.

Thats excatly what happened to team 2061 last year. We drove our bot on concrete and had good turning but when we got to competition we could not turn as good. Also the concrete made our wheels black and worn them down.

It's planned for next Saturday, but we know it will turn because it's a moded version of the drive train we have been using for the past 2 games.

That's great! Our robot runs too. Unfortunately ours doesn't lift or herd balls yet. (And it tends to crash in Hybrid mode.)

HA, but what if we become Alliance partners in the finals?! Then we must work together ;) :D. See ya at RIT and good luck with the rest of your season.

So you guys are just going to run laps?

Well, right now that's pretty much all it can do , but our arm team is in the making of the design for our arm.

we have like 3 grabber designs on Inventor, but we still need to pick one. I hope you guys have a competitive robot.

Haha I know the feeling. We have three built (well, mostly built) prototypes. All we have left to do is test them and decide on one.

well i hope it works for us. I mean it turns really nicely in the gym. We havn't had steering probs with designs with 4X4 before

It'll work, our last two years we have used the IFI high traction wheels in a similar foot print, in fact our last years bot has the same foot print for the wheels plus or minus a few inches

On top of this, The controls team I believed dialed down the speed, and we have a faster sprockets, so thats nowhere near as fast as we can go if we want.
