Okay,

My team cut one of the gigantic zip ties the KOP included. What are they for and where can we get another?

Those giant zip ties are used to wrap freshmen who missbehave.
You can attach their arms to their bodies, and let them go only when you want to, works great for educating, you should try it out.

JK, they may be used for anything you want BUT what i just say (had to say it in case someone will listen to me).

I personally thought they were for attaching the battery to the frame.

Why would you want to attach the battery to the fame? When you need easy removal of the battery.

In all seriousness, the giant zipties went along with the screw and the conveyor belt on a shelf with the sawblades. Can't let anyone get distracted...

McMaster carries zip ties up to 60" in length. Check out page 1467.

Large zip ties are used form flexible HVAC duct work. A local HVAC distributer may have them.

Last I checked, Home Depot had large zip ties up to 48" in the plumbing department.

I honestly have no freaking idea what those are supposed to be used for. My entire team spent about 20 minutes all trying to figure it out. Anything that needs to be attached permanently that is that big shouldn't be attached with zip-ties and anything removable isn't that big in the first place.
It's not like we're running HVAC tubing through the robot.

the big zipties are probably included in the kit to distract you from the building of the robot, thus undermining your efforts to greatness and making those teams with amazing self control own you.... i am not one of those people with amazing self control.... i need to find out where my team hid those things:P

/side note
I'm glad everyone is using the correct term "Zip-Tie" and not any of those other (wrong) names... ;) :p

We used the big bar-loks (;)) to hold our battery in place during testing. It held strong even when I was powersliding the robot around chairs at 13ft/s. We won't use them at competition though - takes too long to remove the battery.
