If you intend to follow the rules, then there is only one way, bolts.
Please read the rules for bumped design specifications.

We used bolts with lock nuts so they won't come off during competition.

Do you have problems fitting into the box for inspection?

I would use bolts, assuming your pit will have a wrench.

Uhm, didn't the post state that they're using bolts? With lock nuts. Or maybe I'm missing something here...
