The first time I read the manual i noticed that the real balls will way approximately 10lbs. this is four or five pounds heavier then the practice ball, and would have a lot more force if hit by it, iv'e noticed a large amount of robots have no protection and my not be calibrated to lift 10lbs. because they calibrate it to lift the practice one, is this a big flaw, or is the practice balls the real ones? because I doubt it.. but idk, what does everyone think?

I think they changed that, the balls received in the kit are the official ones.

Yeah, there was an error in the manual. The balls recieved in the kit should be accurate.

Please do yourself a favor and read your updates. (http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=450) This was addressed in update 4; they weigh approx. 7.3lbs according to the update.
Please keep on top of this as there have been other important rule changes/clarifications in updates.
