So we have all the pnuematics set up correctly running 60 on the regulater and 115 (?) on the pressure switch before it stops, but the pneumatic wont extend, the double solenoid is connected to the spikes with fwd and rev on each but is not working?? not even the manual buttons work! whats wrong?

did you wire the solenoid by putting the
2 black together which goes into the breaker panel
wiring the 2 red wires with diodes going to the relay?

...? um no lemme try

so the black go to the 20 amp breaker and the red each have there own spike?

seanl

2 blacks go to ground on the breaker panel. and the 2 reds go to the spike with a diode to the m+ and m- on the spike.

we dont have any diodes, do we have to have them?

seanl
12-02-2008, 20:17
im not sure on this but... i think you can have the black and red going to 2 different spikes or.. if you have any extra led u can use those(light emitting DIODE );)

its like this atm

Spiders
12-02-2008, 20:22
nvm it corrupted

seanl
12-02-2008, 20:26
i cant really tell anything from that pic

Spiders
12-02-2008, 20:27
is the magnetic switch have to be on there also?

Spiders
12-02-2008, 20:30
here is another, the red are coming from the dble soliniod

Diodes have not been required on Spikes for several years. You should have the two blacks running to the ground on your circuit breaker, a red to M+, and a red to M-. Of bigger concern here, though, is that your solenoids aren't even switching manually... hopefully someone with more pneumatics expertise than I can offer some insight.

Spiders

so the two reds are goin to one spike then?

Spiders
12-02-2008, 20:37
dang we are really confused on these lol

jgannon

so the two reds are goin to one spike then?
That is how we have wired ours, yes. There are other ways of doing it, but this one definitely works.

seanl
12-02-2008, 20:38
yea they both go to one spike and the blacks go to the ground on the breaker panel. thanks jgannon i guess i learned something new today. excuse me for my mistake.

maybe there not working cuz the magnetic switches arent plugged in? where do they plug into?

seanl
12-02-2008, 20:50
cool come by and say hi well be there and i cant help you with the magnetic switch.

jgannon

The magnetic switches are an optional accessory. If you were using them, they would plug into the RC. However, they are most definitely not required for the solenoids to operate.

the tubes goin to the pnuematic are A and B while P is coming from the cylinders correct? while ea and eb are sealed?

seanl
12-02-2008, 21:04
you don't seal the empty holes those are the vents that might jut be your problem.

Spiders
12-02-2008, 21:05
ok.. where gonna open them.. still doesnt work..

Spiders
12-02-2008, 21:09
how far do these have to be open?

yeh, that is what weve been using

Spiders
12-02-2008, 21:19
we just switched to our extra soleniod hopefully that other one was defective :P

Spiders
12-02-2008, 21:21
well one of the manual buttons work on this one but nothing else

seanl
12-02-2008, 21:26
so u have ea ab open
A, B to the piston
p is air in

Spiders
12-02-2008, 21:32
FINALLY! we switched out the wires and connected a black and red to the spikes so each spike has a black and red

Spiders
