Some specs:

Drive Train: 2-speed shift on the fly coaxial swerve drive, about 14 fps in top gear? Correct me if I'm wrong on that, Aren.

Pickup Mechanism: Twin angled rollers that can suck in the trackball from various angles, up to about 40 degrees off to either side. If we have a straight-ish shot at the trackball we don't have to slow down at all.

Hurdling mechanism: Reliable shooter that consistently places the ball over the overpass, whether we have forward momentum or are at a standstill. We have various safety precautiouns in place to ensure the safety of those around our shooter.

We also have a poker mechanism that uses our forward (or backward!) momentum to knock the trackball off the overpass in both the Hybrid and Teleoperated periods

Hybrid: Our hybrid mode has the prospect to score 20 points within approximately 10 seconds.

In a simulated match, we were able to hurdle six times during teleoperated period.

WOW, that is one of the coolest robots i have seen all year. Why are you guys so good with swerve drive, you guys have a smooth swerve and surely will be a force to be reckoned with.

Aren Hill (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/member.php?&u=10143) designed the swerve drive last year and this year
I must say this years swerve is a HUGE upgrade from last year....
It is very smooth and responsive

It sure is! Lots easier to work on, too.

Yep! Just think . . . no more broaching . . . ;)

...Proving once again that swerve drive beats everything. Great job, guys, that is one really competative robot.

Do you guys have any pictures of your swerve system that you'd be willing to share? It seems to work amazingly well.

This is probably the best looking and best performing robot that 1625 has produced for their first regional. All the other ones got tweaked after the first regional to be made better, but I think this one will be good right off the bat.

That is the only robot i have seen so far that uses a claw to throw it over. Very nice different from the common design and uses the ball to its advantage. Successful yet simple.

thats the part that holds the module and part of the andymark drive gearbox and tensioner.
i still have yet to get some good pics myself of the module up close, but these are one's Pat Fairbank (1114) took and put up.
