you guys certainly built a fast little bot there, how many empty field laps can it do in 2:15 (including auto)?? i'll be really interested to see how many hurdlers it can outscore. Seeing that the top hurdlers will probably only average 4-5 hurdles per match (if that... with 6 robots and 4 track balls on the field), i'm really interested in how many laps tumbleweed will be able to do with all that traffic on the field.

Amazing simply amazing. You have officially erased any negative opinions I have ever had about a lap-runner bot. Lol Have you tipped it yet? It looks like you were close on some of those turns.

That is one neat little robot there.
It's good to see the "Neun-a-gon" going strong!
Can't wait to see it in competition.

Those appear to be 4" Colson Wheels.

Those appear to be 4" Colson Wheels.
If it's a keyed and locked hub (looks that way to me), then it's most likely the NPC wheel - close cousin to the Colson.

Nothing I can say really shows how amazing I think that robot is. I'm going to watch its matches with interest.

Well, there's that i word by the e word you could use, followed by another i word:
Inspired by engineers and an innovative design.

Woah.

Nice robot! I like how it has to slow down on the turns, as its wheels are lifting off the ground.

(sidenote: good music choice. I love hearing the UFC theme song used anywhere possible.)

Was I the only one to see it get on two or possibly one wheel in the first turn that it showed? Wow, talk about mad crazy speed...

I bet its underweight. Some ballast might help stick it to the floor.

This thing is amazing. If 2008 winds up turning out like 2003 this thing will pwn.

I really feel for your operator... His job is gonna be really boring... :D

However, I (and probably most other drivers) am/are insanely jealous of your driver.

That's different all right – as in, phenomenal! I am glad that those swerve modules 968 posted pictures of went to good use, if not in a Poof drive train. One question, though – do I not understand swerve drive properly, or was the section of video where the robot is spinning very quickly from some other setup? I thought the idea of swerve was to turn the wheels instead of the robot.

Wow and another wow! Can't wait to see it in action at St. Louis.

Just to clarify, that wasn't Tumbleweed. :)

Whoo, we're hitting competition tomorrow, and I'd just like to thank you all for the comments. It looks like it'll be an interesting challenge on the field for all of us.

Awesome robot and congrats on St. Louis. Perfect song for the video as well. I vote we adopt Saliva's "Ladies and Gentlemen" as the new official FIRST competition song!

We can't wait to see you guys at Bayou!

Im amazed that as of now (3/28) you guys are STILL Undefeated this whole season! Your driver(s) are great at squeezing through several traffic jams. Keep up the great work!
