Team 388 has lost the radio that goes on their robot, is it possible for us to use an older radio

You can use the 2007 radio, but no older radios.

They will have loaner radios in Spare Parts at your Regional (someone will need a credit card as security).
You might also ask other teams going to the same Regional to bring a backup radio as a loaner.
