Calling all practice bots, reworked '07 robots and any other robots that think they might be able to play FIRST Overdrive. The BeachBots are holding an open scrimmage on March 2nd for all the "Cinderellas" that couldn't go to the big bash (FRC Regionals). It will be from 11:00am until 4:30 or 5pm at the Hope Chapel Youth Center 950 Artesia Blvd, Hermosa Beach. There is no registration fee for this event.
Just a few requests:
1) Do not arrive before 11am. That way we won't be taking parking places from people attending the 10:45 church service. We'll start playing as soon after 11 as teams and the field are ready.
2) Let us know you are coming, Call Chris Husmann 310 749-7265 or Rob Steele 818 395-4657
3) Have at least one person from your team prepared to be a Referee or Lap Counter, this duty will be shared between teams.
4) Be prepared to help tear down and put away the field if needed after the event. (about 1/2 hour)
5) The robot needs to have an IFI control system from 2005 or later. We can accept a few 2004 systems but they will be limited to a single player station and have to trade off. This might limit the number of rounds you can play.
6) Due to the nature of the event, there will be no robot inspection. However, if your robot is damaging the carpet or the field or is otherwise deemed unsafe by the hosts you will be asked to correct any issues before you play again.
7) Bring your radio modems and Trackballs. If you have any radio modems from 2006 or before please bring them as well.
8) Buy snacks at our snack stand (optional of course!)
