As many have noticed team 1098 went all out this year, and we surely made an impression. i was searching around and i couldn't find any photos of our bot, so I'm gonna add some.

*chuckle* Great! Nice body. Does it have ackermann steering or tank drive?
Any other specs on your robot? Videos? Autonomous?
Looking sharp!

wow looks great!
one thing - is the RC visible at all times?

Our best autonomous was 28 points, average of 12 points.
it has Ackerman steering, with 4 cim motors straight to the rear wheels, 6:1 reduction. The steering is a window motor with a lever plate on it, and some tie rods. of course a pot for feedback.
i did around 10 laps per game, i think its top speed is around 20 feet per second.

yes, through the front window, it's visible standing height about 3-8 feet away
i also found the under glow very helpful for trouble shooting, when the battery was getting low, or dropping under high current draw, the under glow would dim and we'd know to change battery's.

85 lbs, with battery and bumpers, we kept it light to accelerate faster, and cause less damage on impact, still the referees thought it was the most violent and gave us penalties for hits that other teams wouldn't have gotten nailed.
20"wide 34"long
the slider bar on the top view goes to extractable arms to herd a ball, the arms come out through the headlights.

810 planned a very similar design, but we ran out of time (and weight), thus the panels never made it on.

But what did you make the body shell out of?

Did you give the ferrari bot yaw control (is the steering done purely by turning wheels, or is there some power distribution to induce and control yaw)?
