View Full Version : How to download a webcast.
Hello,
How would I go about downloading a webcast? I would like to download friday and saturday of the Wisconsin regional. I realize that it might take about 7gb of storage and I am going to download it on a computer that will not be used for anything else during the download.
Also, is there any way to get a regional match list? (qualifications anyway :P)
thanks, Vivek
Check out http://www.thebluealliance.net/ and soap108.com
They have archived match footage.
As to actually "downloading" a webcast, it's impossible, since it's streamed. You can record it, though.

To record a webcast, I use VLC Media Player (open source from videolan.org (http://www.videolan.org/)).
Here (http://forum.videohelp.com/topic316907.html) is a short tutorial on saving a network stream to disk. Here's another (http://www.ehow.com/how_2101694_network-stream-vlc-media-player.html).
oh, yeah I meant record... :P
thanks, Vivek
www.wmrecorder.com
It costs $50 and I've used it for a couple of years now to easily setup recordings of video streams, even simultaneous ones.

Regional match lists will be available as soon as they are made generated and made active on Thursdays.
This link will become active when that happens:
