View Full Version : Alright! Regional music question.

When I was at the Milwaukee regional there was a very techno-ish song that they played during many of the matches. It sounded extremely mechanical and robotic, and I've never heard it anywhere outside of the Wisconsin regional.
I happen to collect music like that. Can anyone guess the name of the song?

That's pretty vague for electronic music..
When they put the videos up on TBA, if you could maybe point us to a match where it was played, we may be able to help more.

Sorry, it was pretty vague.
Heres a video from TBL containing it:

I like that song and this one that i've heard at GTR several years http://www.thebluealliance.net/tbatv/match.php?matchid=2122 but can't find the names to either of them.
I do not recognise the first song, but the second one's tune is called Scotland the Brave, but I do not know which techno remix it is, or by whom.
From another topic, which seems to have died...
I believe the same piece of music is always played during alliance introductions for the first Final match-does anyone know what it is? Or is this not true? I believe it's always the same music at SVR...

Without hearing it, I'd say that would most likely be "Sirius" by The Alan Parsons Project.

It could also be "The Final Countdown" by Europe

This one is by Mike Macaluso & is called Final Chapter (It sounds like the mix by Louis Devito on NYC Underground Vol. 3. (http://www.amazon.com/NYC-Underground-Party-Vol-3/dp/B0000520WN) (Track #3 on that CD - Listen to the sample on that page) Great set of CD's. I have Vols. 3, 4 & 5 and highly recommend them to anyone!

Can't say I've ever heard this one before, but a quick Google lyrics search found that. (Gotta love Techno Music with little to no lyrics to search by.. LOL
So yeah.. as you can probably tell, I take knowing the random music they play at FIRST competitions kinda seriously. :D
Anyone else got any more they don't know the name of?
Hit me with your best shot! (And no, I'm not talking about Pat Benetar :p)

You have no idea. I HAVE hugged Elgin before. It's a lot more awesome and magical and mystifying than you could EVER imagine!
As a formal recommendation, I would most certainly recommend hugging Elgin if you ever get the opportunity to do so.

While we're (sort of) on the subject, does anyone know what tracks are played during the awards ceremonies this year?
Anyone know what song is played in this match http://www.thebluealliance.net/tbatv/match.php?matchid=8703
It's been in my head all day and I wanna know the name of it. Thanks.

Explosive by Bond. Awesome all-female electronic strings band. I'd personally recommend their CD "Classified" (which has Explosive as the title track).

While we are on the top of music....
Anyone notice there was no "Final Countdown"? We had the kids practice
to this song and then they never played it. :(
